I Forgot

Wow, it seems that I have forgotten to add an entry. Somehow the summer's gone, and i'm back to school. McMaster University is my home now. Engineering has struck me full force in the face. Recent WoW's. DC++, the best downloading experience you'll ever have. Google is constantly getting bigger and better. They've got absoutely everything, they're even running their own spreadsheet and text editing software ONLINE.. for free. I've also recently discovered there Photo's Section. first off, i'd be impressed if you can figure out the meaning to the title of this blog. Yesterday was in important day for a certain COUPLE of reasons. I don't know what kind of pill i took yesterday but all of a sudden, I understand G+D. For aprox 3 hours last night i worked on that math assignment, and its a beatifull day. Then after quickly finishing my homework early in the night I was able to do some arrands and watch the next section of OTH. Then watched the primer of a new show call bedford diaries or something... not so cool... but i'm willing to give it annother shot. Both of us are loosing our layer of cuba, its a real pain, feels gross, and looks gross, but it will be over. Pretty much caught up on math and physics... todays the last day of school because i have a period 2 project day on friday. My period 2 is a spare so i lucked out. I'm going to use that day to hang out, go for breakfast, and get caught up on math and fs. My mark has dropped in FS when really it should've gone up because i got a recent perfect. I also got a recent 0 because i wasn't around to do a certain assignment. Luckly she omited a few of the other assignments ... now i don't have to catch up on them althought they might have aided me in my mark ... i gota make some sacrafices.... they are well worth it.

So I gota call from mc master university last night and wouldnt' you know it... it was an old friends older brother whom i know quite well. So i heard good things from him, and he seems to be enjoying himself very much there. I've pretty much decided to go there, expecially because the only places i've been accepted yet are mcmaster and wisdsor. So its a no brainer. I already know i won't be recieving an acceptace to queens. doesn't really matter cuz i don't wana go there, but i havn't submitted my personal statemtn so they are no longer recognizing me as an applicant. The only universities i'm waiting on now are U of T, Waterloo, and Western. Time will tell. But my mind is pretty much bent of Mcmaster for ... a few reasons.

Back from March Break

Well, I should really make this short because i have a hell of a lot of work to get done. I'm starting my first day back from 2 weeks march break. The first week we went to mount sutton in quebec. Snowboarding for 5 days. The first couple days were terrible. We could only spend half the day outside because it rained so much. The last two days were increadibly. Thursday morning there was 30 cm of FRESH POWDER. It was increadibly light. It covered all the bare patches but didn't protect you from them :p. Fun times.

The second week was spent in cuba. We left sunday afternoon and got back last night at around 9. A full week in cuba and man am i ever feeling the effects. The last day we felt lacking in sun exposure so we decided to go out without putting any sun screen on. A mistake perhaps, but we got what we wanted and it is not COOL>. From my waist up is beet red, and my shoulders have actually boiled and blistered from accesive burning. It must be 2nd or 3rd degree burns or something. Hurts like a mofo. 
It was a HOT trip. Not only were we sooo comfortable, the food was amazing, and the drinks were free.

Now that i'm back to school i've gota finish up a week of school that ive missed. 4 days to be exact. 4 days of school work shouldn't be too bad. Even tho i have a physics test tommorow, and a math assignment due on wednesday. i think i'll be able to survive. As long as i can survive this burn. I just hope i don't get skin cancer.... not for a while atleast.

Crappy day

Well, the day didn't start great, and didn't get better untill the end. You'r responsible for my change in mood, you know who you are. THX. Umm.. since last time... I've built yet annother computer. We scrapped an old dell with a 2.4 ghz chip. We were able to re-use the chip. It all started when we tried to upgrade the computer. We wen't out to get ram for it when really it had some sort of shit bios ram. An older thing, slow, and far more expensive then it should be. It would cost more for 512 mb of that crap ram, then from 1 gig of sdram. We got a new mother board so we wouldn't have to buy the crap ram. Switching the MB was fun because it didn't fit in the old case so we had to get a new case. The heat sink from the old case didn't fit the new case so we needed to get a new heatsink. In all the upgrade cost about 400 bucks which isn't bad considering how much we redid. I tried to replace the HD but the new power supply didn't come with the new plugs for the new SATA drive that i bought. So i just put that drive into my computer. We used the old hd on the new computer, old cpu, cdrom, gc, monitor. It was lightning fast. Great improvement. Although recently they have been complaining that it will randomly shut down when they are doing something with it. I suspect the 'foot hitting reset button' error, but it may be the computer. I updated the bios, and checked the temperatures. It doesn't seem to be over heating, and if it was the bio, the problem should be fixed now. I'm improving at builing. Maybe i'll make something of it one day. Maybe not.
This weekend i was also able to get Mac OSX to run on my own home made PC. I've got an AMD X2 CPU with tons of ram. It took a while to get it to work, but in the end, success. First of all, the keyboard wouldn't work so i got the usb keyboard from the basement and that was fixed. Then it wouldn't see any of my hard drives. I thought that was because they were in NTSF format, but it was actually because it didn't recognize the SATA connection. I ended up using a 4 gig whiner from an old scrap computer to finally get the thing installed. When the os was up and running it was a bit sluggis and the internet didn't work. I expected this. The OS was not designed to run on such a variety of hardware. Its supposed to run on mac and on mac only. That way they don't need to have countless drivers for coutless pieces of hardware.
I still would like to purchase a 12 inch ibook soon, before uni. I just need it for internet, portability, and document process.
It was a super crappy no good horrible day today. Dad's sick, MAJOR grump head but i forgive him. We all act crabby when we're sick. Its never fun.

Lightning, Thunder and Snow?

How peculiar, at the present time i'm sitting at my desk one thursday evening on a snow day. I look out my window and i can see: rain, hail, snow, fog, lighting and (hear) thunder!!! This is not the weather you see every day. So i figure i had better write a blog about it. It only happens once in a while. Damn Global Warming. Perhaps, with any luck, we'll get annother snow day, or an ice day tommorow. That would make for a very happy Matty. :) I proud of you Tiger! - Mattias V.

Rents went away to Las Vegas, the house belonged to the kids. In the house we were the masterst, and we mastered the house. We visited Yorkdale Mall and that was a blast. Apple store. Lululemon :p got to spend some time doing squat. Between early mornings, and late nights, we got to sleep, eat, watch zoolander, the perfect man, hot tub, and sleep some more. Spending roughly $350 the week is ended with a delightful chat, and a shit load of homework. Hopefully this Blog will get me into the mood of doing pointless work for Damn Family Studies. Life is Amazing

I'm not sure what it is... but lately i've been extremely happy. Everything is going great in my life. I just had exams... and although exams are always stressfull, i wasn't freeking out. Just now i got my exam marks back.. marks didn't change. which is a good thing. i'm in a state of perpetual happyness . everything.. all of it.. just makes sense .. you just can't worry about the little things

Exam Countdown

First off, i would like to appologize for my previous posting, i was in an unusual state of mind. Today i tire to wake up. Chem (y) but bio (n). Handed in a ... uncomfortable ... creative piece of work ... we shall see what happens. It was raining today, and the possibly religious kids are dancing in the mud. An amazing thing to be able to discuss. You must find you asking hand in your parents pocket the same day i was. I've got get my sneekers out of the house, and take them to ALX for repair. I'm not speaking in code, i'm just covering my blog with a very thin, cold blanket which does nothing to keep you warm when in cold rooms. only the truthfull light will bring reality to madness. Unnatural rain is cold the first time around, but get to higher ground, and rainbows will fill the darkness. BTW exams are on their way... almost done my first semester!

Oooo man... its nearing midnight and i'm not home nor lost. Visualizing "I want Cheese" I am feeling like i've done something wrong. I'm sorry. Hannibal is a freeky movie. I watched it over the extent of the day. Waking up at roughly 7 ish this morning. A guitar is playing in my hearing. i wouldn't believe the comfort. O, God!!!! a druken reading of a half written blog concluded with a bird flipping.! You spell laugh with two E's. Ahn Etmt oww... HE's comming!! He's Comming!! but she knows. A view down her bridge past her nose lips. Umm... we're not going to make it. !! But thats ok, the stove clock is wrong.. all is well.!! hold it two do it high ...she must type something ;...fine then.
